I have a 98 sunfire GT, wondering if i have the izizu or getrag and wanting to know the differences/ pros, cons, and such. is there a link that has the drive ratios of each different trans? I want something with close gears 1-4 and then a 5th gear thats best on gas. also what options for FDRs can i use? thanks

oh i guess that i should have added that I have a leak in my system somewhere, im guessing that its in my master or slave, or it could be a bad solenoid? I could probly get that problem resolved but I would like to put in a new stg1 clutch and lightweight flywheel so... why not go all out eh? BTW im canadian (hence the eh) also, is there a way to shorten the throw of the clutch pedal? i find that i have 2 inches of drop befor i feel anything, then I have to pretty much put the pedal to the floor for the clutch to fully disengage... I know that having air in the system doesnt help but still, i like shorter throws for quicker shifts, ideas? peace

Well i beleive you have the Isuzu, main problems, well its overall weaker, especially with the open diff. Hard to push a lot of horsepower out of it appearantly. I hear the getreg is strong, but no one seems to give a lot of info as to how much goes into trying the swap the two. You can get a LSD insert, the team green one comes highly recommended by almost everyone, and for the price, it really cant be beat. As for the pedal, a new clutch will actuate differently, so that might solve your problem.
