ok i am trying to get the shifter outta my 97 cavalier. I got instruction but i think they are for the wrong year cause they are telling you to remove things that i don't see. i may just be stupid but does anyone have proper instructions for this yera cavy with pictures perhaps? thnaks

95-97 and 98-99 are a little different..... what instructions do you have? B&M Ones? If so they give you the how to for both styles of shifter......
Those are for a Getrag, you might have the wrong shifter even?
doesn't matter i got it out...i wasn't putting a short throw in cause i dunno if i am going to have this transmission long or not but i just took mine out and threaded it cause i cut it off to be shorter just for looks and wanted to put a nice shift knob on it
