First question. Ever since I put in my SPEC stage 2 clutch, spec flywheel and PG LSD It's been much harder to shift. When I try to put it in gear (mainly 3rd) it feels like my shifter is hitting on something and then kinda of pushing it out of the way and then it goes in gear. It doesnt just slide right into gear like it's supposed to. I think it's something to do with my clutch? Has anybody had this problem before?
Secondly, every since I put my flywheel in my tac gauge is jumpy, it doesnt increase steadily. My car rev's hella fast (almost too fast). Could it just be that the tac wasnt made to move this fast? Is there anything I can do to fix this problem....its not that big of a deal but if never hurts to ask!
Thanks alot in advance to all of you transmission guru's....
I got a Spec 3 clutch and lightenend flywheel. I have the same issues with shifting into third. My bro's cav has the same setup with the same issue... when I am racing the car around, and I shift into 3rd at like 4,500k, the damn thing doesn't go right in... I almost have to keep the clutch down and push up on the gear until the syncro's line up and it pops in.
The second problem you mention about the rev's, both our cars have as well. I assume this is because the needle cannot keep up...

Seems like 3rd gear is faulty from the factory. ( I guess ) My 3rd gear grinds sometimes. Always been this way. My mechanic told me that a few hard shifts on that tranny and you can mess up the sincros. Also have the same problem with my fly wheel. Sounds like we all like to shift when the revs are up. Our sincros are acting up. Or they are damaged. Crap. Sorry about the news.

It must be that they are bad. Is there anyway to upgrade a syncro? What is a syncro anyways? There has so be a way of making these stronger or more rigid?
