i want to change my tranny fluid, but cannot find the fill plug. on my old z24 (an automatic), it was a red cap under the power steering pump....but i looked all over this tranny in my 98 manual z24, and cannot find where to add the tranny fluid?

and what manual tranny fluid is recommended? synthetic or not? stock gm or some other brand?

thanks.

Its On the back of the transmission. You can get to it from up top.Look straight down to the transmission, and you will see a white dip stick.Thats where you fill the transmission fluid.I think its next to the speed sensor.Just make sure the car is cool, because you will burn your arm reaching down there.
