for starters, 98 Sunfire GT, 2.4L with the Isuzu 5spd. Not really sure the root of the problem, as things ive read make me think it could be various different issues, but anyway, driving thru town i can shift pretty decently in all gears, not many issues, but if im getting on it, and shift into 3rd, sometimes it seems like im hitting the shifter gate, but actually where the gear is, and it wont go in. I first thought i was me, then a buddy of mine was driving my car and said the same thing. Another thing, might be unrelated, dunno, but it used to be hard to get the car out of first a few times, and some other times, its almost as if the car wants to put the car into the next gear (like its excited to help me shift), which made me think it could have been the cables. How can i adjust them if it is? One other thing, but ive had these symptoms before this, while waiting for my AEM Clutch bracket to get in (from CarCustoms on back order), its wired onto my strut bar, its not the best, but stays upright. Could that be some of the issue as well?
