CLUTCH NOT DISENGAGING????
Wednesday, October 19, 2005 8:22 AM
I have a SPEC stage 1 clutch and it has kinda been screwy ever since I put it in. Ive bled this thing many times and nothing seems to work. The clutch will only disenage when its all the way to the floor and even then its hard to put in gear and sometimes it will grind. Its pissing me off so bad. Someone told me that if I changed the clutch actuator line then that would fix it, but I dont see how if mine isnt broken. Also when I press on the clutch in two places there is this kind of clicking noise like a tick and then tick right after the other. And when I put the new throwout bearing and slave cylinder in it wasnt seated all the way to the tranny no matter how much it got tightened. If anybody could please let me know what is going on it would be great. Could it be the master cylinder? or just a faulty clutch? Any help is much appreciated.

Well I found out what my problem was. It wasnt the clutch it wasnt the master cylinder or the slave cylinder or the release bearing. Apparently the pressure plate bolts had loosened themselves up. Which explains the ticking cause it was like hanging on the threads. And the not disengaging because there was a gap it had to close before it could release the clutch disc. Works like a charm now

Yeah I had torqued them down but apparently not enough.
