my trans shift's good while i'm driving normal, but when I race it, it goes in to second perfect, but from second to third it doesn't grab third gear, it sound's like i'm in neutral. does anybody know what's wrong.
Sounds like the 2-3 synchronizer is starting to wear out. The sychros are bronze rings with teeth that match the gears and align the gear teeth so that the gears engage smoothly. These can cause varying shifting problems, depending how worn they are.
