OK.. i startd having trouble shifting and my gears would only go n 1'st an 5'th and it would grind to get into 3'rd gear.. the clutch is all the way down and shift like im suppose too.. i took it to a chevy dealer n they did a diagnostic test n they said my shifter cables broke and they fix it... now evey time i shift to 3'rd they still gind... whats wrong... o BTW b4 i took it to the dealership i could do a whole 360 with my shifter!

I don't know what year your cav is but if you have a 2000+, you got the Getrag tranny which is known for having occasional grinds. I have a friend with an 03 Cav and took it to the dealer numerous times and still can't get rid of that grind into 3rd.
