Ok i have heard that the stage 3 is very hard to dive around in the city and thats what all my driving is... now i looked at the spec web site and they say stage 1 is good for 250 lbs/tq which i don't think i will get to... but would it hold up to the following
- GM supercharger
- 10psi of boost
- 4-2-1 header
- 2.5" header back exhaust
- custom intake
- smc alcohol injection
If i have to ill go with stage 2, but i don't see the point in over killing it and spending another $100 if i don't even need it... oh and just for reference here is the info on the stages right from the spec web site.
Stage 1 - 250 lbs/tq
Stage 2 - 300 lbs/tq
let me know what you think

silver car - 305whp 315lbs.tq @15psi (91 Octane) or 420whp & 425lbs.TQ @20psi (94 octane+Alcohol Injection)
All dynos run on a Mustang dyno
get the lighter flywheel too while you are at it .
i would probably go with the stage 2.
i personally have had great luck with ACT. not sure if they make a clutch for your year'.
yeah id go with the stage 2
yea i emailed Spec and they said go with this Stage 2+... good to 350 lbs/tq at the crank..

do you ever notice that the ones who talk the loudest have the least to talk about?
i know some one with the 3 and he said it takes alot of getting use to and around town and mainly in parking lots or any where that your going very slow and stopping and going is brutal... but i personaly have never drive the car... Spec told me the stage 2+ is still almost like stock clutch for driveabilty

is the stage 2 worth paying for? does it do much for you? if not i may go with a stage 3 or something.

the guy from Spec said the Stage 2+ (its between the stage 2 and 3) will hold 350lbs/tq at the crank... so what like 280lbs/tq at the wheels... which is more then enough untill i sell the s/c'er and turbo it and turn boost up to like 18psi... this wont be for a few years though

Doesn't play well with the GM Supercharger. Totally have to re learn how to drive your car...

It's up to you to decide which you'd rather win.
elaborate on the gm s/c and a lighter flywheel

15.2@94m.p.h.(S/C'd)
15.5@89m.p.h.(Stock GTP)
it aint that bad ian (glad to see you are still around, havent seen much of you on here).
We installed the flywheel b4 the gm s/c. but i love it. revs up real quick. I would recommend a lighter flywheel to anyone, boost or not. It is a awesome mod.
I know of a guy with the spec flywheel and lightened stock size crank pulley and he likes it. but i havent talked to him in a while. .
Good info. But what about Centerforce Dual Friction one? What other brands are available?

ELIOT. Now.....boosted.
I don't have a supercharger but my flywheel and Stage 3 is fine for me didn't really have to get use to driving it and my wife has no complaints about it. She drive it when i have to use her car.
I have heard few good things about centerforce. And i heard more bad thing and not only from the J-body crowd.
