ok, so that lovely thing i like to put my hands on feels like jello when i move it up and down. how do i get it to harden up?
is here anyway to make like a skateboard bearing or anyone that makes hard as bearings for where the cables hook up to the trans? right now its soo bad that most of the time it wont engage into 2nd most of the time. what should i do?
Wow I have the same problem! I thought with the B&m would make it really stiff and while in gear the shifter still moves from side to side and its really easy to grind into 2nd if shifting hard? I want info haha!

i looked on aplus, car customs and some others and found nothing like what im looking for. i know for dsm's they can use a skateboard bearing inside as a bushing for where it connects to the trans but it is allot smaller than ours. similar to this

you probly need new shift cables they may be stretched a little ...........only other option is to replace the plastic bushings with something.
I ain't callin u a gold digga,but you ain't messin wit a broke cracka
I KNOW MINE HAD THE SAME PROBLEM AND WENT TO HOME DEPOT AND GOT A THICKER O-RING THAT WAS A HAIR SMALLER FROM PLUMBING FOR A FACUET REPLACEMENT O-RINGS AND WORKED FINE. TAKE THE OLD ONE WITH YOU AND FIND ONE THAT IS A LITTLE THICKER AND IF IT IS A HAIR SMALLER DON'T WORRY.
Quote: no ofence man but if you have so much experience in all that why does your car look like crap?
usually if you rub it it gets hard.
oh sorry wrong subject
The one, the only, ME.
mines only 3000 miles old and it's not totally firm while in gear. It can move a millimeter or two each way.

Not a millimeter, moves alot! I have the same problem...its weird. And yeah, grinds into 2nd all the time when you shift into 2nd. Annoys the piss out of me!
I think shifter cables is the solution, but havent actually gone out and ripped apart my console or anything to check....
By the way, were do I check for that o-ring and shifter cables?
