this is for my buddy. Hes picking up a 95 2.3 cavalier only thing is the motor is blown in it and he wants to pick up a 2.4 and drop it in there. Only thing is will the tranny from the 2.3 bolt up to the 2.4. Its a auto tranny or would he be better off just getting the 2.4 with tranny and just drop that in there?

yes it will bolt right up but in my personal opinion i would drop the motor and tranny in together depending on wich has less mileage !
