Words that you can't use in modding: Finished, Perfect, Cheap.
Here's a few shift kits:
Superior Shift Improver Kit
JBody Performance
TransGo SK125 (TransGo doesn't list this kit on thier web site, but they do make it)
There are also Torque Converters available. The stock one is a 2375 RPM stall. B21FZRB was the stock code on mine, I replaced it with a FBAB. Go to
TranStar and find the 2003 Torque Converter Catalog section and look up the GM TC's for and explanation of the codes.
DACCO Transmission Parts doesn't have their catlog on line, but you can order one from them. Go to your locally owned and operated tranny shop to get any parts from either of these companies.
Yank also makes a converter that will work, it a 2800 RPM stall. Read here:

If you want to change gears read the look throught he DACCO and TranStar catalogs for info on which tranny had what gear sets to get what you want.

As you can see alot can be done with the TH125C/3T40 3 speed auto, just about anything that can be done to a RWD tranny!
well i went to five different shops and they either told me they cant touch it or wont touch. they just do stock rebuilds

i kick plenty in autoX
although i dont BS around when i mod something anymore.... but for some its time to wake up to reality, you dont need a manual to be considered fast, unless its an ego ordeal

just have to do your research, you can make anything faster with time money or knowledge... usually gotta shoot for atleast 2 of those
my stock caviler 4door (with a K&N filter) beat a 4dr SOHC v-tec with intake headers and exhaust in the 1/8 but when he got into 4th gear he was about a car length in front of me i dont know the times because it was on a old ranch that was a log driveway from the main road in the boonies
