From a 2.2 4-speed auto to a 2.2 5-speed manual?

Question is, how much would the swap cost? I have been looking into that too. I have been told that it would cost around $5000. That's just what I was told. Don't get me wrong, I know little about cars other than the important things (ie minor engine work, gas, oil, air filters, etc. I am working on learning more though). It would probably be a good thing to look into. Is it a floor mounted shifter? Or is it on the same thing as the steering wheel? It would be easier if it's mounted to the floor, because the "hole" is already on the floor, all you need to do is the reconfiguring and add the clutch pedal. There is other work to be considered too, but only if it's in your price range. Right now, it's not in mine.

There is a swap kit in the classifieds forum with a swap kit for 500 bucks. Its not the right transmission for you but hey 500 bucks beats 5000 bucks. See if he'll sell it without the transmission Or just read the add and see what parts need to get changed out and make your own kit. I know it'll be tons less than $5000.

Here is the thread in the classifieds
