I have a delima with my transmission. Specs on the car 98 z24 with 5spd. Fresh rebuilt
performance motor.Crank, flywheel, clutch etc... The other day on my cruise to the local gas station. I pulled out from the stop light. Normal rpm from 1st to no 2nd, 4th, or reverse.
The car has 3rd and 5th gears...Now here is the kicker the clutch resevoir was almost empty. So I refilled with brake fluid..Did not change a thing.. On my way home the cars gears seeemed all over the place. Found 2nd breifly and fourth as well.
Does this have to do with the transmission or the clutch?

Sorry for the long post. I will be gone for aprox 10 days. Have a talk around and see what you guys and some girls think.

is your shifter loose feeling ?? like you can make circles with it ??

if so it might be the shift cables

Sounds like the shift cables popped out of the bracket. Happened to me.

Hey guys I am in San Jose right now. Yes the shifter feels like it will go in circles.
But now I got a call from my brother in Florida and he says the clutch pedal is to the floor.

Keep the suggestion coming. It looks like I will be takig the car back to Titan engine
