Ok guys lets see if you can help. This has been happening for the past 2 days, yesterday afternoon on my wife, this morning ran fine, and this afternoon on me it acted up again. The ETS light goes off, and all power practice vanishes. The car seems to have very little power, will not go over 3000 rpms does not want to seem to down shift or anything when you excellerate, stalled on me! I am thinking torque convert but not sure the tranny only has 66K on it. Could this be TC? CPU? Some type of sensor??? Please help if possible...
Thanks in advance,
Chris Winstel
PS the motor itself is running fine no missing or unusual noises.....
Check the fluid level?

Yes, the fluid level is fine. I also tried replacing the IAT sensor to see if that helped but it did not.
The symptons are after the tranny warms up the ETS OFF light will come on in my car. The car will clunk into gear from Park to Reverse and from Neutral in Overdrive. The torque converter seems to be slipping slightly especially from a stop and you can hear the tranny fluid pump every once in awhile.
I guess I am going to take it to the Chevy Dealership tomorrow and see what they say......

Im having a similar problem. I have the same problem when I shift from N to D or R. Also when im driving at moderate acceleration my transmission shifts really hard. I dont loose any power and it will still clime to redline if i keep pushing. Doesn’t happen all the time, every few days. But it does it until I shut the car off and let it sit for a while. I don’t have ETS so that light doesn’t come on. Dropped it off at the dealer today to see what they think it is.
Well it ended up being the TPSTec, my first mod that i did 5 yrs ago took a @!#$ on me and was decrease the voltage to it.
