ok i have a 2000 cavi z24.. 2nd gear has went out on my 5speed. i took it all apart butl all the syncros were fine and the gears where fine as well.. but what it was doing was if you shifted to second it would only cling and clang and not go any where. but if you were driving and downshifted you had to put all your might into it for it to stay but it would downshift till you hit the gas and it would cling and clang once again.. i need help really bad.. car show sunday and it has to be reasy thanks Sean

did you check the shifting forks for the plastic boots on the end?

yea i did and its gone.. i found this out from a diff forum thanks thou
