Hey,
I recently purchased a Spec stage 3 clutch (6 puck)... Its kind of rough, im beggining to think I was given the wrong clutch (stage 4)
how can I tell a difference between which clutch I was given?
I looked at carcustoms website; stage 3 looks like a cross (4 big pucks) and the stage 4 looks like the 6puck clutch.
Can anyone confirm this with me?

Stage 3 clucthes come with either 4 puck or 6 puck. 6 puck is more for street useage. more surface area and more break in period. From what I have been told stage 4 just has a higher clamping force. When people order stage 3 clutches if they dont ask for 4 puck or 6 puck a 6 puck is sent out to them.

i just had my stg installed, it is rougher, but not alot, im pretty sure mine was a 6 puck.

the stage 4+ go to a unsprung hub as the stage 1-3 has a sprung hub

I have around 1400miles on the clutch now,,,
The clutch still cant take a rev/dump into a higher gear to see if it slips.

My stage 3 in my cav hits like a freakin monster when i shift hard. Hard to drive though....low rpm take offs=a bumpy ride!!!
Totally different from my Centerforce DF clutch in my sunfire.
Come on people my wife can hanble my SPEC III and Flywheel.
Either way it is some getting use to.
