I've read in multiple posts for people doing engine swaps that they can use their 4T40-E for up to 300ft-lb of tq. Well in looking up info on the tranny in my service manual for someone i found that it actually isnt true. According to the service manual the maximum engine torque is only 200 ft-lb. Just thought eveyone might want to know.
Also incase your interested the gear ratios are: 1st: 2.960:1, 2nd: 1.626:1, 3rd: 1.000:1, 4th: 0.681:1 and Reverse: 2.143:1
