Slowly but surely may some day win this race...
if im not mistake megasquirt would be the way to go....thats whats im lookin into .......i heard it is not that expensive...maybe between 250-350.?.......
im still doin research and on it ,but, im not a genius at it.........maybe someone else can shed some more lighton this subject
not sure if im right or wrong on the price though....but i know it not expensive
^^^megasquirt is not a piggy back. it's a stand-alone.

yeah i knew that but forgot to add that in there........i had it in mind to type but never did...........Yeah it standalone...
If you HAD to go piggy back, I guess E-manage but like everyone else said, Megasquirt would help you out more with tuning. With the e-manage, you're probably gonna fight with the computer more often.

That's what piggybacks do. They fight the computer.

Woah woah woah NEWBS.
If you guys would do your research you would realize the EManage will NOT work properly with the 96 ECU....
Anything and everything has been tried to fix this problem. But the way the injectors are set up on the 96's, it will not read the normal injection duty cycle correctly thus not allowing you to add fuel correctly in the additional injection map....
Your best bet would be to go to Megasquirt....or swap to OBD1....
if you have any questions, feel free to ask....as I have been fighting the EManage on my 96 since June of last year. But I recently sold it for Megasquirt.
who builds 95-97 motors anyways lol.

lol thanks but i am not a newb! i have never read that the e-manage fought with the 96 ecu and i did do my research. fuel wise i have a good set up that will work great with the turbo system i have on. i am looking into and researching the megasquirt as i speak. where would be the best place to buy one as in price and customer service wise? i do like that the megasquirt is cheaper but i was looking more at the e-manage ultimate rather than just the e-manage. has anyone use the ultimate yet?
What's the best setup to use on a 2000 Z24 5spd, will a standalone allow the dash and other obdII to function. Or would emanage be better for a boosted emissions compliant daily driver. Need to know for future 2.3/2.4 hybrid turbo buildup, thanks in advance.
2000 Z24 5spd header & catback for now.

A standalone will always out do an piggyback because it has no type of interferance with the OEM computer...you control what you want etc etc.
The Megasquirt unit is a Fuel Management Unit...so any other basic functions, the OEM computer will still control. There is a way to make it also control ignition timing as well.
