Yes and yes. It's recommended that you have a larger fuel pump if you are going to be pulling more fuel. Many people including myself use the Walbro 255lph intank pump which can be found on autoperformanceengineering.com (get the LT1 package).
As far as the FPR goes, you only need one if you are adding larger injectors(which you should be doing anyways). You need this to help drop the fuel pressure at idle so the larger injectors don't drown your engine. Accel and Aeromotive both offer AFPR's that fit our rail. The part numbers are floating around here somewhere. I have used both and so far I am happier with the Aeromotive part. Pay attention to which way the regulator mounts on the rail as there are two options available.

no you do NOT need to change the fuel pump...
I have been running 10 psi since april and havent had one problem with running lean. well unless I accidentally turn the knob for boost up to far
otherwise for 6-8 psi you should be just fine

Well that is the first time I have heard of someone doing ok with their stock pump. So I guess its your call on the pump if you trust your stock pump, and then an AFPR once you put larger injectors on.

I have been running 11 psi on stock internals and stock fuel pump with AFPR, FMU, and 330cc injectors in my 2200..... for 6 months..........no problems....... and NO fuel cut....

i got a *decent question, i should know though since i've built a couple engines but not with fuel injection so i'll ask to make sure.
could you install you walbro pump BEFORE you go boost, you know, just to make sure it's installed correctly and all without drowning the engine or needing fpr. i wanna put my fmu and pump in before i boost just to check everything out for saftey and the life of my engine.

okay if I understand your question.... you want to install a better High flowing pump BEFORE your car is boosted.....
that is NOT a problem... you kinda answered it yourself.......
YOUR STOCK ONE.... will control the fuel pressure so your car runs the same........
once you go with BIGGER injectors...... you will need other fuel mods to make everyhting work !

You might be able to get away with it but why take the risk of having something happen for a part that can cost under $100?
I would upgrade it or put in an inline to be pre-cautious.

Here are both AFPR's I have used. You will also need an allen key/hex key to adjust the pressure. The numbers in paretheses are Summit Racing part numbers. You can use these to go to Summit's website and make sure you are getting what you need.
NJHK pretty much said what I was thinking....why take a chance on fuel guys? Do you like rebuilding engines? After all the money that is thrown at turbo projects on fancy blow off valves and pretty gauges, why not spend 100 on a good fuel pump?

stock fuel pump is capable of what your asking it to do, trust Lee his car is set up pretty nice. i also run a stock pump but switched it out for a new oem one because the thing had 140k on it but it still worked fine at very high fuel pressures. If you dont trust it hook up an external guage and keep an eye on it. also i think Hahn was running 11;s on a stock pump that speaks for itselfe.
