i have a 99 z24 and its on 6 psi. and it smokes very little out of the dipstick hole only when i pull the dipstick out. when the dipstick is out i rev it and it smokes when the rpms are coming back down but very little smoke. my oil return line from the turbo is welded onto the dipstick is that why it is smoking or is there something wrong? the car runs fine and does not smoke from the exhaust what so ever. please if you have any comments let me know...... THANKS FOR THE TIME

ya is that bad? thats how i bought the kit, but i am just wondering about that smoke...
Its just a small amount of blow by coming out the dipstick hole instead of the crank-case breather, no big deal.

what bothers me more is the fact your oil drain in in your dip stick
the tube isnt that big , and you need minimum of a 1/2 for the drain
put if you pull the dip stick , or oil cap you will get the same thing

ya just take the pan off.... spend $50.00...................... or so .... on a nice 3/4" return line and fittings....................... if you don't care..... whatever
I was going to do that but I just pulled the pan and did it the correct way................. the dipstick thing works from what I've been told !

You are probably building excess backpressure in the turbo because it can't drain fast enough. This holds hot oil on the bearings and, not only that, it creates a lot of pressure and blows through the seals causing an oil leak.

so is my motor @!#$ or how long will it last?
Here's what you need to do to save your motor:
Get bigger injectors
Get an FMU
Change to the correct type of oil drain (at least 1/2" directly into the pan)
After hearing you toasted one motor, I really find it hard to believe that you are boosting again without any fuel mods...

if i take the oil cap off and rev it, it BARELY smokes out of the oil cap hole.
bigger hole = less noticable
the dipstick thing only works for the 2.2 ohv motors since their dip stick tube is about 2" in diameter
the eco and the 2.4 are about 10mm
i would move the oil drain before you have any turbo problems
he's got a point, i never really thought of that. but i do agree. save your motor while there is time.

Oy veh people!
Smoke out the dipstick hole is a sign of exessive crankcase pressure. You need a properly setup crankcase evacuation system! Check to make sure at the VERY least your stock PCV system is operating.
