Ive got the R-500 which is the better of the two and I love it. Datalogs for 90 minutes. Both of them have very important stuff to monitor like knock and a/f.
I would recommend it to anyone
Only difference between the two is the R-500 can monitor more sensors...

i dont think you can add the G-axis sensor to the R-300 either, for the in car dyno/suspension set up.
