well my 2 month old autometer phantom series boost gauge (no vac, getting one wiht vac if i need a new gauge) hasnt worked for like a month so today i get unlazy to go fix it, found a boost leak in the charger line to the t fitting so i fixed that, reved the engine up and boost is pushing out of the line into my hand, put the boost line from the gm charger back on the gauge line and take it down the road and it doesnt show the boost, needle doesnt move, sounds like the gauge is broken to me, any comments?
its an autometer boost gauge. of course its busted. you ever notice how big the zero is on their boost/vac gauges is? go look at a Stewart Warner gauge. 0 is just a hash mark like every other reading. not 4-5 hash marks long. Get a Stewart Warner gauge....you'll never have an issue again as long as you install it right.
I used to race cars, now I race myself.

I've had multiple problems with my autometer boost gauge, I sent it back and they replaced it. I thought I was buying the best at the time, but I'm not very happy.
1 word ..... AUTO METER
thats your problem right there.. i dont know any of my buddys who have had problems with their autometer gauge
I got Stewart Warner because i new they have good quality stuff as thats what came in my dads GNX... so that all i have and i got no problems at all...
Take the guage out... send it back to Autometer for a new one that works.. then SELL that @!#$ the second you get it back...and do your self a favor and get a Stewart Warner one...

I loved my autometer gauges for 8 months, sounds like you need to send it in and get a new one, just call them and they will give you a number and then a week later you have a new gauge.
(I know cause I had a EGT probe go faulty) never had trouble with boost gauges
