mods please move if in wrong forum....thought this was the best place to ask....
well i got my turbo manifold parts the other day from JGS and i was gonna prefit the 90's and cut the T's to fit before i send it out to get all tig weled..... question is, if i tac everything with my mig can the person who is tig welding it go over my tac without any problem...will they be able to blend it in....
Also im going with a external gate....is it best to put a 90 and then the gate flange or can i weld the flange directly to the manifold right over the collector area, before the t3 flange..
Thank You
there would be no proble welding ovr a tack. making a manifold is mostly common sense.
you need to sit there and figure out what the best position for the wg would be with the least amount of time and material used.

Tubing is 1/8" thick and the flange is like 1/2" or so........

what exactlly do you mean...not to familar with welding and all........
if i tac everything together will it be a problem for the guy whos welding it to get in between the t's and 90's....
well it depends on the style
some designs of manifold, you weld all the runners off the manifold
then connect them afterwards,
it really depends man,
im guessing uit will be cheaper and less time consuming to just buy a premade manifold.
if its 1/8 inch tubing you dont have to really worry about beveling....
but you are going to need to leave the welder a root opening.
basically.....anywhere that there is going to be a weld on the tubing, leave about a 3/32 inch gap.
It will need to be done in steps. Fit it all up, then break the tacks that hole the tubes to the flange, so the TIG welders can get around the tubes with no obstacles. After you get that back, put on the flange, and send it back.
