I was just wondering the pros/cons of wrapping the turbo and header.

My downpipe is wrapped, I'm going to unwrap it though, the wrap is holding moisture on the downpipe and I'm sure it'll rust.

I've heard many horror stories of the wrap holding in moisture and rusting the parts to pieces. I wouldn't do it, personally, but I have heard that there is a special sealant for the wrap to block moisture. Even so, I wouldn't risk it.

Wrap = bad on a daily driver. Imagine what happens after you wrap something that normally dissipates heat as it expands and reacts with the ambient atmosphere.
Something's going to break down!

it depends on the grade of stainless

the higher the grade the longer it will take , if it ever does

do a search for the post i had in performance about header wraps , youll love the carnage pics

If I remember correctly they used 304 Stainless mandrel U bends to create my downpipe....

could I wrap it and not worry ............... or should I send it out with my manifold to get ceramic coated ................... only 150 for both if I do it ........ wrap from work is FREE......

Lee - if I were you, I'd get it ceramic coated. The solid protection is worth the extra money. Wrap is questionable, which is why I wouldn't use it.
