Hey,whats up guys?
Im taking off my vortech s/c,and im going turbo.I already ordered some of the parts and they should be here anyday now.I got the manifold from ebay.I heard alot of good things about it,so im going with that.I also ordered a t3 super 60,and a turbo xs rfl bov.The only thing i got to do to the manifold is cut the passage way for the egr valve.Does anyone know how deep the cut away should be?Im guessing no more than 1/8 of an inch.I dont want to get any egr codes from cutting it too much or too little.The only pain i think will be the down pipe.Does anyone have any pics of there down pipe with the same turbo and manifold as me?Do you think a muffler shop will have a hard time fabricating a down pipe for me?It doesnt look like theres alot of room to work with.At first im gonna run non intercooled,then im gonna add an intercooler later on.Does anyone have any non intercooled pics of there 2.4?I cant wait to get everything hooked up.I was listening to shifted's video,The turbo spooling and the bov sounds sick.Ill have pics when i get everything.

It wasn't too bad to fabricate, just watch where you end up putting the O2 sensor bung(s). Mine ended up OK just out of pure luck.

Nice.Should i buy a couple stainless steel u-bends and bring them to the muffler shop to weld up?Why were your bungs just ok,did it just clear the firewall?Thanks for the pics.

There are two large plastic nuts close together at the firewall where the A/C goes into the cabin. We neglected to measure where these where when we cut and welded the bungs on, when we put it in the car, the O2 sensors sit right between those two nuts.

As for your EGR cut, get a spare gasket and follow the groove, the stock one is about 1/8th inch deep, maybe 3/16ths.

Oh, and I think we used 2 total bends to make the downpipe, an experienced exhaust shop should be able to fab something up for you pretty quick with those. Mine is 2.5" piping.
