Well i have been buying parts for my turbo set up for an 05 ecotec manual.
i have searched but cant seem to find out what i want. i would like to run
8 to 10 psi on stock bottom end and i dont need or want to spend the mony
on a bb turbo. something like a t3 super 60, but i want a new one not some remaned
junk. On what website do you guys get your turbos from. Also when i go to buy my
manifold do i want the outlet in the center or to the side. i already have all my fuel needs
on order from hahn. i would just buy the kit from them but i really want to build one
myself . sorry if this is a newbie Q. i know of a few websites i have found on here
like atpturbo but is it going to say t3 super 60 or will it just have the trim and a/r. thanks
for any help i can get

Check out
www.atpturbo.com, they are a licensed dealer for Garrett. Here is a link to it:
T3 Super 60 Trim. It's a well matched turbo to the 2.2 ECOTEC motors but it's all about what you're looking for.

I'm not exactly sure what you mean...your turbo is going to hook up behind your motor if that's what you're asking.
Now, make sure you buy a manifold to suit the turbo you're getting. I would buy the turbo first in this case. If you buy a turbo with an internal wastegate, you don't need a manifold with an external wastegate port. If you buy a turbo that isn't internally wastegated, you NEED a manifold that has a port to put an external wastegate. I believe the Super 60 is internally wastegated.
If you have anymore questions, just ask.

there is one on ebay right now for 1000 minus charge pipes and i know its good quality cause i know the guy who built it. non other than brandonson.
never buy turbos off ebay. you might also check out http://www.cheapturbo.com. They sell all kinds of QUALITY turbos and parts. REAL garrett turbos, for a very nice price. No scams.
I was a retard, and now I'm permanently banned.
thanks for all the help. by the center or the side of the manilfold i mean the t3
flange. On exploited web site that is what you are ask (left or center). i think its
a fitment issue for the turbo. i already have motor mounts in so no movement in
the motor. And the link you gave me this turbo is good only up to 250hp. That is
my goal in time to come and maybe more hp later on. i want to be able to turn up the
boost and not have to buy another turbo. oh and i have tried to read com. maps for turbos it just made my brain hurt. and again thanks for all the help
Well, you were the one who asked about the Super 60... And all the requirements you originally posted would fit... lol
I'm def not one of the experts in this forum, but you may be looking for something like the T3/T04e... That might better handle the up in boost later on...
i meant something like a t3 super 60. I wasnt sure it the super 60's
were like the t3/t4's which come in many combos of a/f amd trim
thanks of all the info.
Speaking from experience with a large a/r turbo with the exploited manifold, you want it to be off center... if you do NOT do this then you run the risk of your compressor housing hitting the log collector and not allowing you to bolt up the turbo due to clearance.
With the flange offset to one side, the compressor housing can sit closer to the engine allowing the T3 flanges to mate up perfectly. If you need a picture of this I have my turbo and manifold right beside me so I can shoot a pic for you and show you what I'm talking about.
No matter what you do, I recommend running the hot side to the passenger side of the car. There are shift cables, power steering and heater core lines on the driver's side of the motor, all of which are TOO CLOSE to the turbo in my opinion... so run your downpipe on the passenger side if you do have the choice.
Good luck.

Slowly but surely may some day win this race...
a pic would be great please. Also looks as if exploited site is closed to
on line orders and he is dealing with local sales only. so that leaves
ebay and cnfx for and eco manifold. Is there anymore places to get these.
thank for the help.
imena a kiton ebay not an ebay turbo.
whatever

Mason, in a week or 2 I should be recieving an intake manifold from CCFab and giving pictures with an review on the manifold. If it turns out good, that's another option for you as well for a decent price. He's trying to push for a line of manifolds for the 2.4 and ECOTECs so you should be hearing about him very soon. I'll keep the boost forum posted.

hold on a sec what do you need an intake mani for?
"
Kick azz is my boost hero!!! "
with a turbo larger than the garrett super 60 you will have fitment issues if the T3 flange is not off centered slightly towards the drivers side of the manifold.
The turbo on ebay that snowman mentioned is off-centered and I know this because that is my old manifold that is being sold, I made it
I am not the one selling it though, the guy I sold it to is haha.
hope that helps with the question you asked about the flange being welded to the side or not.
"Growing old is mandatory. Growing up? Definitely optional."
Thanks for all the great info. I have hahns portfueler system on order, so i dont need a
intake manifold but thanks anyway. I do however need a good place to get an exhaust
manifold if anyone knows. And i guess i'm going with the t-3 super 60 from atpturbo.com. Thanks for all the help i really appreciate it.
