Have you ever noticed how much flashing is in the s/c right after the TB. I am wondering if I were to smooth that area all the way to rotors if there would be a difference. It would seem like I would increase airflow. What do you guys think. I do have a 2.4.
Maybe it's the way you're wording it but I'm not understanding what you're saying...

He is talkin about the casting residue, bassically polishing it. You will deff get some gains from it. You just have to rip down the charger to do it. I'll let ya know eventually. I will prob rip down blacks M45 inorder to port the opening for an LS1 t/b

I have to pull the nose drive off any way. So that was why I was wondering. There is alot of residue in it.
I'd go for it.
I was a retard, and now I'm permanently banned.
I pulled the s/c apart today. The only thing is, I cant the rotors out. Has anyone tried this yet. And just a word of warning, the nose drive oil stinks to high heaven.
Fats02z28 have you ever pulled the case of the s/c apart. I have the nose drive off, but having difficulty taking out the rotors.
I havent had a chanco to pull on, havent needed to. I have an M62 I will pull today to help ya out.

I pulled the rotors out of the s/c today. 1 big thing I noticed right away. I am using alky and the teflon coating is starting to flake. I contacted magnason (dist for eaton) and asked about if that was a big concern. I was told that coating is more for noise reduction than anything. I was relieved. I was also told to change the nose drive oil every 20,000 to 30,000 miles. Also, has anyone tried to pull the pulley boys hub off? I will start the porting project hopfully tomm.
If I can get my wife's camra to work, I will get some pics.
I should have pics of a gutted m45 by tomm.
I swear, as loud as you are, you should be doing at least 200 mph.
