is there a way to convert a stock exhaust manifold to receive a turbo ?

could i use this

The problem with using stock exhaust manifolds is that they are made of cast iron, and cast is very hard to keep strong after you weld it, most people would braze it with brass rod.

Sure you could hack it up and weld a flange on there, but it would end up to be very weak, and with the wieght of a turbo on it, plus the manifold seeing extreme heat it would most likely crack. Another problem you would probably run into is turbo placement, with actual turbo manifold they're usually designed for the turbo to be in an open spot, where with the stock manifold, a big bulky turbo may be hard to fit in the spot the stock manifold would place it.

I would highly recomend you to just spend the money on an actualy turbo manifold, it will save you in the long run.

I have never seen it done on a J-car. You are better off with a turbo manifold anyways. A lot of Hondas end up using the EF CRX HF manifold that has a universal bolt pattern, that you just have an adapter plate made for your T3 flange. I know this information is useless to you, but it's what we did on our turbo honda sedan (RIP)

Even if you could hack it up, the turbo would probably be located in the wrong place, at the amount of work you'd need to put into it, you'd be better off buying a log manifold.
