****My 2.6 pulley experience so far****
Wednesday, December 14, 2005 2:44 PM
Well.....for those of you wanting to get the 5 rib pulleys....they are fixed now so you dont have to worry about them grinding on the supercharger Now I put the pulley on the other night.....so after a day of playing around with the fuel crap I got my a/f's into the low to mid 12s.........

So for those of you wanting to get the 2.6 I would recommend doing so...Cause there is a very noticeable difference between the 2.7 and 2.6............

I haven't given the boost gauge a good look yet.....but my buddy said he glanced over and saw it at 9psi or so.....so I'll have to see for myself..

Any questions/comments are welcome Thanks!

MUST HOLD BACK FROM PURCHASING ASAP!

Running all GM S/C fuel/reflash stuff still? Or do you have upgrades?

I plan on going with the 2.6 and alky injection, but need to know if I need to consider anything else!

I guess I should just go with it, then get her to the dyno for a couple tuning sessions to make sure I'll be safe.

It'll be here by Spring, no rush!

I'll also be ordering a smaller pulley, math says 2.6 is the smallest I can go before going over 16k rpm at redline.

I'm curious what kind of psi gain that would give me Although I'll probably just go with a 2.8 for the time being.

3.34 is the stock size, which right now hits 10psi on my setup.

Guys with the cobalts hit 12-13 psi with the stock pulley and 18 with the 2.8

john is your crank pulley a different size than the 2.0 eco motor ?? the cobalt guys are talking like 2.8 is the smallest before 16k

i gotta figure out my pulley size , so i can go larger

also i was lean with the kit injectors , i got 36lb 1's from the 2.0 sc now , must better afr with them

How much were those? Plug and play on the 2.4l?

i wish they were , they plug in no problems (electricly)

they are shorter than our stock injectors , and i had some spacers made , that made them to long , and the spacer was made as short as possible

ive got the venom fuel rail so it has bolt on legs for the mounting to the head so i spaced it with some washers , and right not ive got a vacuun leak because they are being pushed to far in the head

so if got to get some longer alen/bolts so i can use another washer , ive got someone helping out with this project , and we are trying to come up with a way to make them work out with minimal work , ive all works out , there will be some copies made and sold

but on boost my car runs a whole lot better now that i can see a/f ratio's in the mid to low 12 range

Very interesting...thanks for that info and keep us updated. I need to get that done since my A/F ratio is in the mid-high 13's.

My crank pulley is currently the stock eco 2.2, I'm unsure if the size is different. I have the pulley off the redline, I just acquired an A/C pump recently because my engine didn't come with it. So I'll use the redline pulley/AC (alternator is already being used) So I can use the belt without cutting a rib off.

The calculations I did were with the redline pulley size they listed online. If my math was right it would spin the charger at about 15970 rpm or something like that with the 2.6" pulley. I'll try the 2.8 first and go down from there if I can and measure the sizes of the pulleys to be sure.

yeah on the g/fs cav im going to be using all the 2.0 s/c pullies

maybe they are figuring that the gm stage upgrades are upping the redline to 7000 and saying thats when the s/c maxes

only way to know is do it
