Hey Guys....I've got a 2003 Grand am ecotec that I'm currently working on a turbo setup with, I'm going to be running ford greentop injectors, fuel pressure regulator, and then a Begi FMU, Curious as to will I need to reflash my ECU? And excatly what will benefit from me doing that? Besides the ECU no longer to read vacuum correct?
Well as far as i know there is no re-flash for the ecotec computer.... unless the GM supercharger kit is out for them ....

Even if you wanted to reflash your ECU, there is currently no reflash available. GM claimed to have one available when the 2.2 ECOTEC Supercharger is released but...yeah...that hasn't happend yet.
Reflashing your ECU could set your fuel and ignition to a certain point where tuning isn't so difficult but it all comes down to what they do to the programming.
By the way, if you have an FMU, you might not need an FPR. Under boost, the FMU will raise your fuel pressure but if at idle you're having issues, then an APR would be some help.

hahaha with 440cc injectors, you'll need the afpr. i hope for your sake the Grand Am isn't subject to the same lack of open loop operation that some cav ecu's have.

The GM Charger will be out Jaunary 21st. So thats when you can get your reflash.
