Looks sorta like one from a Toyota (similar to the motor seen in the Chevy Prism etc)

that's a quad4 2.3L the motor is being redone IIRC. makes decent power.

umm.. that green engine will hand just about every car on this site it's arse. that motor is pushing some MAJOR work to it and the owner is going to re-do the motor with A LOT of special goodies. I'm thinking of getting his manifold for my car, but am looking into all my options before I commit to a FI motor.

May I ask where this sudden outburst came from?

I don't recall anyone saying otherwise.

he should have used the HO intake manifold.

i guess it looks better then the dirty color look. idi cover looks ok. but sometimes the dirty color look is the best.

who cares really about the color, it is a bad a$$ set up.

my only question is, if you're gonna mount the blower that way (on the red one), why not put a nice air to air fmic or smic into the mix?

So is that manifold worth anything? I have one laying around that I dont need, I am supercharged. Is the TB that comes with it still the 56mm? Are all 2.3 TBs HO, LO or OHV 56s?

No 2.3 OHV. SOHC is what you meant.

No it's not worth it. He probably use it for space issue cause it seem to be modify.

2.3 Ho

you can't make a claim like that and not tell us about it spill the beans! whats it got, whats it run, what kinda power does it make?

besides, if you're wrong I wanna be the one to point it out because there are some pretty fast cars on this site

at least i consider mid to low 12s fast <shrugs>

the bastardized rig is mine

should put down low 13- to high 12's in current trim. the new engine im putting together should frag the @!#$ outta this one. i havent had a chance to take it to the track yet and flog the ever living @!#$ out of it. soon though....

its in an EXTREMELY modified barely (not really) street legal beretta.

thats the prototype manifold. im making sidemount ones that require not modification to the hood to make them fit. the thread with all the info can be found here:

Power of what???????

All I see is a rattle canned Quad 4 motor with a random supercharger laying in front of it.

Simply dropping a charger in the engine compartment does make any power.
The pic clearly shows there is no induction system at all and further, there isn't one visible bolt holding the blower to anything.

no induction system needed. its sitting on a custom intake for it. those superchargers have the mounting points underneath them and it has studs guiding on to the flange much like a turbo manifold. that is an older picture too. there is an LT1 throttle body on the intake side of the supercharger at this point in time.

dont be angry about the green. its painted that color for a reason and has been recoated with ceramic paint.

as for the work done to the engine.... go to www.cardomain.com/id/c0mbatphil
theres too much to list here.

and protomec.... please do a little research one some of this @!#$ before you start flying off the handle. thank you.

c0mbat phil wrote: no induction system needed.

Induction system means throttle body, and intake. I am not talking about ricer air intake tubes here. Every engine needs an induction system to run.
Your pictures.... this one and the cardomain ones.... all lack any sort of blower intake manifold. There is a nice, spraybombed, stock 2.3 intake manifold in some of the pics, Absolutely no evidence of any supercharger mating intake manifold anywhere. I'll just assume your reply will be "because I don't want anyone stealing my ideas".

Seems doubtful. But its easy enough for you to post a current pic and prove me wrong.

c0mbat phil wrote: dont be angry about the green. its painted that color for a reason and has been recoated with ceramic paint.

Not angry, more like saddened. "Ceramic" engine paint is still spraybomb.

With $110 P&P head and Monroe struts, I now know why GM to quit campaigning the Pro FWD Cobalt that my employer was paid to build and race. They were worried about competition from you.
