Rods and pistons?

Has anyone dealt with Import Performance Parts before?b Asking cause they have a rod/piston combo for the 2.2/2200's for like $ 850 ar so with rings and s/h. It states its for the 93-00 models, but I think they would work with the 2002 2200 motor as well. NEways, does this sound like a good deal, or does anyone know of a better deal to go with. BTW, they rods are eagle h-beam 4340 steel and the pistons are wiseco.

dude i just bought that combo from them... pistons are taking 6 weeks cause the pins are custom made and stuff... i already got my rods... there was some confusion with the piston size cause i got my block bored for the 90mm and the guy was like up thats wrong and we kinda argued about it and i was like look man make this work cause i just got my block bored to fit 90mm pistons... lol so everything got straightened out... as a warning tho they charged me an extra 60 bucks for some reason... i also got the rings with it too... i guess there a pretty good place to deal with...

you got your block bored before you got the pistons? not to bash but usually people send there pistons off with the block so everythings matches up perfect. Im sure it'll be fine. Let me know how this turns out. I may look into this kit. But since this kit doesnt relate to boost it should probably go into the performance forum. Thats not a bad price hel7 just a rering kit costs like 300.

it shouldn't be off. any good machine shop and any good quality piston manufacturer shouldn't have fitment problems with you specify a stock bore or overbore
