BAsically what I want to know, is it worth it or not . I see a few people using it, I know it works and is accurate, but is it worth it or should I just get the Innovate wideband kit. I don't really feel like spending around $500 for the LM-1 stuff, and then get a laptop to data log and all that stuff, I just need a wideband on the car to tune it right now.
Failure is not failure if you learn from it
With the resent price decrease on the AEM UEGO i would go with it, I have used both and personnaly like the AEM one better. We dont have them listed on the website, however just email us we have them instock.

I will be wanting to purchace rods, pistons, valve guides, ss valves, gasket set, and maybe a AEM wide band. when the time comes I will just email you.

the big reason i like my inovate wide band is it has a larger range than the aem my friend has , mine will go to about 9 on the richside and stops about 21 on the lean side
plug i got mine in the g/p karo ran for them
both are good gauges
i know auto meter is coming out with them also
I have used Innovative on Vette's, Camaro's and Supra's since Innovative was a company. Never used the AEM, but I am sure both are great pieces. Just make sure YOU get a wideband. It is soo vital to use one while you tune.
Good luck

Can you use the programmable 0-5v output on the AEM UEGO Wideband gauge to replace the narrowband O2 sensor and tap that output to the PCM?
Just a point of reference, the LM-1 can store data internally which can be analyzed later on a computer. The AEM unit is just a gauge that, supposedly, accurately displays the wideband reading. This was taken straight from Karo's site and I can't wait until I get my wideband sensor installed.

Was that a response to my question? If so, explain.
Yeah Zeke...
First, our sensors are 0-2v sensors, the AEM can only emulate 0-5v sensors. It has 4 programs that you can select, the closest one that matches ours (P4), is a 0-5v emulation. Not only that, but there is a specific time that the sensor needs to do a lean-rich and rich-lean switch, otherwise the ecu thinks the sensor is bad. Well I got both of these codes, O2 sensor 1 Bank 1 Lean-Rich switch time, and O2 Sensor 1 Bank 1 High Input.
Both made the ECU ignore the input from the sensor, so it didn't work.

Buy stuff from CarCustoms Ebay! Won't be disappointed!
was browsing the board and had a question about this...
does a separate bung need to be welded in after the cat for the AEM unit or does it replace the 2nd sensor?
That's the beauty of a wideband, it has its own sensor for a more accurate reading rather than going off the signal from a stock sensor.
