May I use a diesel pump.?
Tnks
i know someone is offer a complete stand alone oiling system
i saw it in a magazine , i think it was granatelli motor sports , but im not sure
you might want to contact sts turbo systems , since they do the rear mount turbos
i think some people have actually used scavenging pumps
taken directly from 89yjturbo's site on his rmt Z24:

Turbocharger Oil Drain 'Solution'- The drain system for my RMT system consists of a trunk mounted oil scavenge pump. The pump was obtained at a local hardware store- (SHURflo PN 8000-643-236)

I'm pretty sure that same guy checked with STS and they said they wouldn't sell him the pump by itself, and they wouldn't tell him what kind it is.
Out of curiosity, why would you choose this setup (if it's on a 4cyl J at least) when it is so much easier to just put it in the engine bay?

If your talking about remote mount turbo
Then i know a local shop here that
used a simple external fuel pump
to cycle oil and a small oil cooler
to store fluid in. Pretty efficient.
sorry meant inline not external
I checked out the
spec sheet on the shurflo site, and that pump is not to be used with flammable liquids due to the brush motor causing sparks. Also, it is only rated for fluids to 170*F due to the nylon linings, and I'm pretty sure oil just out of the turbo would surpass that. Also, it's not meant to be run for extended periods, and if the pump doesn't see 20 psi (or so) on the outlet side, it will shut off...
I searched the web real quick and found this though:
oil pump (look towards the bottom of the page)

Thank you everyone for the info. I found that is cheaper and more reliable to just change my put the turbo upper on the engine.
I was having problems with my oil return because the low position, but the scavenger and oil pumps are $$$200 or more and the factor that it could fail not the pump but the relay or altenartor or some kind of electric failure makes me decide to just change the manifold and keep the things clean.
Please anyone recomend me a inline oil filter to put before my turbo. I use a -4 AN line.
Tnks.
I was looking for one the other day and found this
ONE.
