Today i was making heavy progress working on the boost project when i decided id change the waterpump...since ive had one layin around for it for the past 6 months. I pulled the waterpump, the normal antifreeze comes out, and i look in the bowl area where the pump goes and theres this brown stuff. First thought was rust because I ran water in it this summer after i changed a hose. touched it and turns out it was oil quite a bit of oil. Its a wierd case, but i was pretty sure i was burning antifreeze for awhile, i watched a friend take off in it a while back and white smoke was coming out pretty good. So the rest of the day i spent changing a headgasket. I love working at a parts store, head bolts, a whole headset, antifreeze cost me $46.52. Now im back on task with the turbo, everythings mounted. just need to fix the return and hookup the guages. I hope it all works out. thanks for all your help have a good turkeyday.
