Ok well i was going to get the DIS-2 system for my car... but i am looking at this GReddy eManage thing and it says it will control your timing as well... and your air/fuel stuff
So my real question is do i need both? or can i just get away with a the GReddy eManage?
And also where is the best place to buy either one? so far i have found the GReddy for $475 U.S
And the DIS-2 for $350 U.S
The First Twin Charged jbody
blue car (R.I.P) - 240whp @7psi..
silver car - 305whp 315lbs.tq @15psi (91 Octane) or 420whp & 425lbs.TQ @20psi (94 octane+Alcohol Injection)
All dynos run on a Mustang dyno
You can use both. But you don't necessarily need both. The DIS-2 won't control your fuel obviously
I was a retard, and now I'm permanently banned.
So would i be find with just the Greddy set up?

yes
z24 aint afraid of no ecotec
Wait, aren't you the guy doing the innovative dual charged setup? This rather explains a lot I think..
the emanage will control the timing, only reason to get the msd would be for the added spark, not for it to adjust the timing... im running both on my car
and i might have a bunch of stuff for sale pretty soon, including my emanage with data cable, software, injector and ignition harness
If you're just looking for spark and not fuel control, spend your money on the MSD DIS-2 and add spark and adjust timing.

but i see you are already boosted. yea i'd definitely go with the E-manage first, and then if you need more spark... programmable DIS-2 is your friend.

ahah ok good this saves me like $700 cdn or what ever the DIS-2 goes for...

screw timing, no matter what i change it too, the stock pcm always corrects it.
save yourself time, money, and frustration by neglecting a 'timing' solution.

That maybe with Emanage, but I did notice the change in timing with my MSD DIS-2....I could pull out too much timing and watch the EGT rise. I could pull out timing and feel the car loose power.
275hp & 306tq - 1999 2.2 ohv
13.2 @ 108 mph
-1996 2.4 liter + Turbo + Built motor + Torco + More boost = Lots o' Power
-2000 Mustang GT + 2004 Cobra motor, Whipple 2.3 supercharger,
built rear-end,Dodge Viper spec T56 6 speed, bolt-ons = wheelies at the track!!!!!
Well, the MSD doesnt have to go through the stock pcm to make adjustments either.

ill try it with just the eManage... and see how that goes... i may get the MSD thing just for the added spark...

adler how ya doing bud, long time...
as you said you can make timing adjustments and watch the egt rise and loose power... i experience the same thing. even at one degree adjustments the egt nearly jumps 100-150 degrees! talk about bad timing! anyhow if you continue to pull, say one degree over a few runs or days the pcm will, or at least in my case, add a degree to level out the knock sensors.

Sounds like its time for a standalone.

just get a megasquirt.
12.7@110MPH with 10PSI.
a megasquirt IS a standalone
