Boost guage hookup
Wednesday, November 16, 2005 11:13 AM
I've heard many places to hook em up to. but half the people in my town are just stupid. where do you all tap in the line for the guage? I'm looking for a semi acurate reading. I have heard of people putting them in places so it looks like there getting more boost then they actually are. I could careless i just want a good place to put it, or does it matter?

any vacuum line that gets a source from BEHIND the throttle plate is appropriate

Since you haven't told us what sort of boost setup you have, and your registry is empty, we really can't answer this question properly.

regardless of what boost set up he has..... any vaccuum source from the intake manifold will do .................. ANY..... as long as the source is taken from BEHIND THE THROTTLE PLATE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

boost gauge is reading pressure in the intake manifold whether it's vaccuum or boost pressure............

If you're even thinking about turboing your car, you should know this.

Fuel pressure regulator vacuum line. But I agree with Excidium-you might want to do some reasearch before you get yourself into something you don't want to be in.
