Alright, i know Lee said he uses a 1" return line, the largest fitting i can get is 5/8" at work i can crimp a 3/4" hose on the fitting, but how big does it really need to be, is 5/8" large enough if i run a direct route? if so ill definatly run 5/8" just seeing what you all used. thanks.

a 1" return line is going to ENSURE that there is no bottle necking effect happening to your return. if oil is not able to leave the turbo at the rate it is coming in at then your turbos oil seals will pop.
5/8's is fine. My fitting from my turbo is 5/8's going to a 1" line and a 1" tap in the pan...
you know but SKILZ is the smartest of smart here so don't listen to me.... get a small oil return line...............
cuz if you were to listen to me I'd be automatically wrong because skilz doesn't like me.... what a mature individual....... way to go SKILZ... just trying to help the guy out and your saying don't listen ... well I hope he DOESN"T LISTEN TO YOU...... because the information above is CORRECT MORON
the size is completely up to you ......... 1" just ENSURES a good return and eliminates the possibility of oil backing up into the turbo.
so skilz just shut up.

-10 is 5/8 inch.
1 inch is over kill. Most all the fittings and adaptors made are 5/8 inch which is -10 line.

Not true... he said in his post.... Lee is running a 1".......... then skilz said Don't listen to me ... I was just proving my point that I am not wrong and that skilz is just out to be an a$$hole to me all the time and hassle me when I'm trying to help people... so screw him and 1" in just for safety.... not overkill in any opinion of any mechanic around here.... ACTUALLY I WENT TO DALS TURBOS....... LARGEST SUPPLIER FOR GARRETT TURBOS IN ONTARIO.... he SUGGESTED MY TURBO RETURN WAS TOO SMALL AND WANTED ME TO UPGRADE TO A 1" JUST TO BE SAFE..................................
so screw skilz........ my car is running GREAT WITH A 1" so whatever.

after reading the posts i ended up puting a 3/4 hose in the fitting. just to be safe. some of us 17 year olds dont have the money to fix things right away if we screw up lol. everyones been helpfull,it seems like almost every forum im in people start arguing thats why i just ASK what people are running, meaning most poeple are running 5/8" i almost did. But to order a box of braided line from work it was going to be 685$ and i had to buy the whole box. so I just went with the 3/4, a friend thats taking some hydrolics classes crimped it on so it wouldnt cut the hose. good deal. Now im just waiting on some final parts so I can get this thing finished up, hopefully it runs! lol

I use 1" also.... it is absolute overkill. I did it because my return couldn't be straight and the turbo hangs pretty low. 5/8" should be fine.
