I have heard lots of bad things about the seller's turbos in the second link.
Not personal experience, but I have read on different forums that they crack at the compressor.
Do not buy a turbo from SS autochrome. The bearings in their turbos are absolute garbage. The only thing they are good for is intercoolers.

True. If you search under ssautochrome on here you will find pics of one of their turbos where the housing split in half. It looked like it was glued together or something.
You might want to look into buying a turbo from a reputable shop, rather than ebay. You will pay more, but you are less likely to get a sh*tty turbo. I have had luck with BlaastPerformance.com and I know some other guys have turbo shops they prefer. Check out the sticky for more options. Good luck!
I was talking to a guy who bought 2 of them for his TT iroc and he said they both failed within 3 miles.. he took them apart and it looked like they were made in the 1960's...

I've also seen bad things about their turbos on other forums. But, they're supposedly using different ones now (they said they weren't actually the ones selling the old ones that were glued together, but...).
I use cheapturbo.com (but mostly because they're local and I can go check out the shop
)

Blaast Performance's customer support is GREAT. Fast and DETAILED e-mails. Anything you need to know, Guillaume is the man! They're open on Sundays, too.
I'll never buy anything other than full Garrett turbos brand new from authorized distributers.
I was a retard, and now I'm permanently banned.

x2
I never had to wait more than 2 hours to have an email returned when I had a question. Customer service is what this place is all about. Very happy with my turbo and accessories that I bought there. If you buy your turbo and some of the other stuff you need, you can probably get a hookup. Just email and ask..thats what I did.
