I was wondering if Iam going to be running 6psi-8psi is there really a need for a turbo timer even though I going to be intercooled has well.

cant hurt can only help improve the life of your turbo. you can either sit in the car and let it cool down for a minute or buy a turbo timer and take the key out walk away and let it shut off for ya and do the work
if you have a turbo car, a turbo timer OR just letting the car idle for a few minutes after shutdown is very important. sludge buildup will kill your turbocharger.
