i was just curious to see how many automatic ECOs were turbo/supercharged out there and what kind of boost are you running
this is more a boost forum post but no big deal. There are quite a few in the boost forum.
I agree with Inari, more of a boost topic. But you can check out the boost forum and read the thread that lists members and their boosted j's.
To answer your question, my 03 Cavi is now supercharged with RSM's Stage I kit. I have yet to drive it since I'm waiting for my ECU but I should see 6psi (max) according to RSM. My guess would be 5psi on a daily basis, which is plenty for me.
Blown.
Beginning of January I should have my setup installed. I'll be running a T3/T4 turbo (a decently big turbo because of my current motorwork). I'll be running a Megasquirt standalone fuel management system as well.
The difficult part about it is running a downpipe around the transmission but other than that, installation would be the same as a manuals.
If you have any questions just ask.

I was just wondering about it because ive heard that the stock tranny in our cars isnt very strong like it can only handle 190 Ftlbs of torque before it starts to wear prematurely. If this is true it saddends me because i love my automatic<3
I've heard positive and negative comments about the reliability of the 4T40E but personally I think our tranny is underrated. I think it was Skilz who said he has put alot of punishment on his tranny for 5 years(?) and still no problems. If you take care of it then it will last you a long time.
I plan on flushing my tranny (though I've heard that flushing is bad for auto trannies..hopefully someone can help me out with this) and refilling with synthetic tranny fluid. My spring project will be to install a transmission cooler to keep my tranny temps down. Hope this helps.

That is actually a "myth" because very FEW people are boosted with automatics and wouldn't know from personal experience, they assume that they are weak. I plan to put down more than 200+ whp by time I'm done with a stock tranny just to prove a point.
The only issue I can see our transmissions will run into is heat. If you don't monitor your heat issue properly, that will kill the tranny in the end. A Transmission cooler will take care of that problem though.

^^ Werd. The 4spd is a strong transmission. But you DO want an AutoTrans as well as running better transmission fluid like B&M TrickShift. And a tranny cooler would be in order as welll.
I was a retard, and now I'm permanently banned.
yea i emailed RSM about there Stage 2 supercharger and they said thats why they dont advertise it for the automatic is taht the tranny is too weak but if you want it you can order it and i think im goin to save for it!!!

Trust me, the transmission isn't weak and if that's what they really told you than they need to check themselves.
