Ok guys, most of you know I'm going turbo in about a month or so and I'm getting everything that I need for a proper turbo setup.
I'm very interested in buy the Zeitronix setup BUT I'm also getting the megasquirt as well...my question is, what port does the Zeitronix use to communicate with a laptop? Is it the same as the megasquirt. I'm not sure if it will be a problem to run both at the same time to try and tune. I know that software wise, it depends on the laptop speed, processor, memory etc etc but as far as hardware side, do they both utilize the same ports?
If someone can help me out, I'd appreciate it.

The megasquirt uses a standard serial port to communicate with the laptop. I have the Innovate LM-1 wideband unit which also uses the serial port to communicate. The thing is the MS will do any and all logging that you will need so there really isn't an issue with having the wideband connected to the computer while actually tuning is there?
I have partially read articles about USB megasquirt adapters, but I have no information on those and I would suggest you search on
msefi.com for that.
I just did a search on the Zeitronix unit and it does in fact use serial communication.
