Here are a few recent under hood pics of my car including my tubular turbo header, And my TB relocation piece i made so that i could get rid of the factory box that used to sit on top of my TB

As you can see i relocated my computer over by the battery and made a mount for it. I also got rid of my cruise control since it didn't work.

I also updated my CarDomain page if you guys wanna check it out. Here is the linkCardomain

No dyno time this year. I have went to the track 3 times this year but never ran any good. Seems like i always had something go wrong/bad on the car. But i bought a house so pretty much all my money goes towards it and my son these days. The reason i made the TB relocation pieces was because i didn't like how the hood would have smached a 90 degree elbow a little bit and by making that piece i didn't have to do anything with my IC piping. Plus i was bored and felt like making something and when i finish making my intake maniflold i have an idea where the TB needs to be located. One thing i did notice when i made it was full boost came on 3-500rpm faster which was nice cause this year i decided to go with a .63 turbine housing(.48 housing last year). I also forgot to add i got rid of the A/C which i never used anyways. I do still have the A/C compressor in there but just because i have not had time to find the correct length of serpentine belt. So if anybody has a part #'s that would be great

Thanks for the compliments and sorry it took so long to get the pics up. A few people had been wanting some pics.

go to a chevy or pontiac dealership and ask for the belt from an 03-05 eco without an A/C and your set. good luck man.

I am sooo making one of those TB relocation thingies. I cant believe I never thought of that! very nice.

The ecotec tb sits so close to the hood you cant put and good elbows on there. I found one that works okay but still rubs the hood barely.

btw did you make that idi cover? or can you buy those somewhere?

yeah i just kept brainstorming until i came up with a solution. I tried multiple elbows but couldn't find one that worked right. I tried buying just the plastic piece that connects to the TB from the rk intake but rk wanted like $150 for it alone. So i said the hell with it since i can buy the whole intake for $200. Its a pretty tight fit but works great. I will have that one up for sale after i finish my Intake manifold this winter

Yes i made the IDI cover also about 1 1/2 years ago. I was going to make them to sell but don't have the extra time between work, kid, and house. So yeah i am the only ecotec in the world with one. I think i should get it patented

I dont think that is entirely patentable.

I would want one without any writing actually, or maybe something different. Maybe a different font style for the turbocharged. I dont know. I might make myself one. I am buying a new milling machine next month. That looks nice.

^ ^ ^ ^ i like that car, and brians has always been sweet too how are you getting those flanges made in your diy intake manifold and are you welding that alumium yourself? I know how you feel with dissapointing track days it seems everytime i went up this summer too something went wrong (including blowing 1 motor) but finally im getting mine reliable and like you am looking forward to some dyno time next year . keep up the good work and be sure to post those IM pics when you finish so all these eco guys can drool over themselves

the firewall was never touched to make it fit. I just put heat tape there just incase there was something of importance on the other side

yeah first time to the track this year was the bash right after i got the car put back together and ended up snapping 4 of the 6 flywheel bolts. Second time i went the day after i got the tranny put back in and in the process i pinched the coolant temp sensor wire in half so i think the computer was running in open loop the whole time. 3rd time i went by battery was bad and didn't really think it hurt the performance that much. I might try to make it to the track one more time this year. I have about a month left depending on the weather.

As for the flanges i made them myself. I am a machinist to i have easy access to cnc machines. The pics on my cardomain are from the old design. Now i have made velocity stacks and everything for it. I will get some pics of the completed project here in a few months. I am having a friend of my dad weld if for me.
