i was wondering if you need to get a gm 2bar map sensor im hooking up a msd dis -2 for timing retard someone said i need the sensor to do this . is this true ? if so anyone have a part # for it ? where to get it? thanks

Nope you do not. If you do, then you would need programming such as a reflash for the 2 bar. Having the sensor only does you good if the PCM can understand it

I was under the impression that with the MSD dis 2 digital that you could use a map sensor to retard ignition timing in proportion to boost? Is that not true?
you'll have to get the msd map sensor and put a hose on it and tap it into your intake manifold somehow or just something that sees boost. keep your stock one where it is.
