ok guys i need some major help b4 i put my turbo on .. im running a 97 z24 and got fuel issues im running way too lean so lean ive been throwin codes, stallin out, and lost quite a bit of power
ive replaced the stock pump.
put an adj fpr. holding a steady 60 psi in rail when stock wat like 35 psi
290cc injectors
new throttle positioning sensor
new iat sensor
new air idle sensor.
new egr
new o2 sensor
cut cat shhhhh with a casper o2 simulator
at about the same time this happened my cooling fan stopped working . it will only turn on if u disconnect the tps.
other mods ive done after this has been unorthodox crank pully, underdrive alt pully, short ram intake, muffler, and poly mounts all the way round. i took it to the dealer and they guy ran it on his machine and said w/out a stock 2nd o2sensor he couldnt tell me anything because it was reading 100% when there was a major problem somewhere else my short trim fuel level was going from 2500 to -50 bauc up and down all crazy .. i asked what the short trim fuel level was he was like i cant tellu that . i didnt know if he knew or was jus being a dick... please help thanx

Fuel Trims:

There are two fuel trims, short term fuel trim, and long term fuel trim. The long term fuel trim is the base adjusted fuel table over a long period of time. The short term fuel trim is the instantanious adjustments the ECU is making to the long term fuel trim. If the short term fuel trim is adjusted in one direction or another, for example, if the ECU is routinely adding fuel for a long time (minutes), it will adjust the long term fuel trim table. If the long term fuel trim table is maxed out, along with the short term fuel trim table, your car will throw a code.

ur post says your ABOUT to put that turbo on.... well if you don't have ur turbo on then expect it to run rich... even at idle and not in boost a car that has a CHARGED intake system... will need more fuel at idle... not much more but it will need more...... it is pressurized.....

so get that turbo on .... and by the way..... 290 cc injectors are REALLY SMALL
REALLY !!!!!
your stockers are like 24lbs or 240cc..... 50cc is only going to allow you to raise your boost to like 5 psi........ maybe even lower..... might want to look into ford brown tops... (36lbs)

good luck

shifted"" the problem still remains that the long trim is running exact to what it was suppost to and the short trim is freakin out.
another issue is when i start it, it tries to stall out i have to pump it to keep it runnin for like 2 min then itll be ok then it just doesnt have the power like it did b4.

lee:: i put 290 cc injectors in b4 boost i have brown tops for the boost but what im saying is upgrading my whole fuel system im still lean and cant figure it out ..
