Sunday, October 16, 2005 1:05 PM
Anyone know of any websites or stores that sell parts for a 1990 Z24. I'm lookin to do a little engine work and maybe turbo or supercharge at a later date. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks
Reggie

I've had 3 1990 Z24's already, and I did all the same looking around you're doing now. Nobody really makes anything, you'll have to engineer it yourself. If I had another '90Z (And I wouldn't mind, knowing what I know now) I'd just do a hybrid motor using the stock bottom end and 3400 heads and up with an aftermarket cam. I'd probably pull the bottom end apart just to freshen it up with new bearings and thermal coat the piston tops while they're out (I have a DYI thermal coating kit that works wonders, lol) so I could juice it decently too. I'm sure you could build a mid 14 second car out of that combo, all motor. And then you could probably juice it into the 12's. That is, as long as you have the 5 speed or a converter and dr's.

Search www.V6Z24.com. And I mean actually search, don't just go in and ask for info. Its all there.

yeah, what they said.
hunt through your local phone book for automotive machine shops. look online for reputable companies for engine pieces, like rods, pistons, bearings, et al.
the parts are out there. the tricky part is just getting them all together for a party at your place!
