ok well ive posted this a few times in other people threads but havent posted my own yet, so here is a mini update and also a couple questions for you boosted guys. Anyways a few weeks back i was able to finally get my car to the track. The current setup is the GM s/c running 10.5 psi on the 2.6" pulley with the cooling mist alcohol injection and M3 injector, running a 50/50 water and methynol mixture. If you wanna check out all the engine mods feel free to take a look at my cardomain at www.cardomain.com/id/jimmyc99z24 Anyways the car ran a best of 13.52@105mph, this was done on dunlop sp9000 tires at 18psi, my 60ft time was a 2.2. Needless to say theres room for improvement, the tires had me spin al the way through first then the clutch slipped pretty significantly through 2nd and into 3rd. Next season the stage 3 spec and phantom grip is going in so hopefully that will help me out with traction. Regardless i was very satisfied with anything in the mid 13's, next year it's my ultimate goal to hit 12's but not until some more work is to be done like the forged rods 2.3 oiling system etc... So now on to the inquire part of my post, the car is tuned in pretty well, we've had alot of success using the apexi and the plx wideband to get he a/f ratio to be pretty flat and consistant, im only peaking at about 12.2 right now and dont wanna go any higher until next year when i plan on setting up a curve that will be for running 110 race fuel. Anyways the issue is the cars idle, it seems like as soon as i let off the gas the car wants to idle down too low. Ive been trying to work it out using the apexi at 1000rpms but its still doing it. Ive went from 28psi at idle now up to 32psi and im still seeing the stalling. Its not everytime i stop, usually only after ive been on the car and in boost. My question is is anyone else here experiencing this massive pain in the ass? And if so does anyone have any suggestions for me. This is really the only thing im dealing with right now and i'd really like to get it straightened out, theres nothing more embarrassing to me than pulling up next to someone and having my car stall out on me
I did try adjusting the idle screw and it helped the idle only go down to about 1100 and that worked fine, but the car woudlnt seem to run right, it would wanna stay at about 2000 or so rpms without my foot on the pedal. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated guys, thanks a ton in advance.
