Like the title says. Car starts up then shuts off after 2-3 seconds. My wideband is showing 14.67 then the car just shuts off, and I cant find the problem. The wideband isn't showing that it goes too lean or too rich, so wtf? Any ideas??? Maybe i am not covering all the posiibilities. Any ideas?

By any chance is the theft system light blinking??
if it were the passlock would it even start in the first place? I know mine doesn't. Did it just start doin this? or was there other symptoms before? Did the car start runnin kinda strange? Any lights come on prior? Or did you wake up one morning to a car that doesn't wanna stay running? Strange smells? Anything?

if its the passlock (antitheft light blinking)
"Seriously, this is the way to get around it, the theftlock must be reprogrammed, and this is how:
1. Start the car and let it die. The theftlock light will be on, DO NOT TURN THE KEY OFF, OR OPEN ANY DOORS, OR TURN ON ANY ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT. Just fold your hands under your arms and wait 10-15 minutes...
2. After the car stalls, the theftlock light will blink. wait until it stops blinking.
3. Wait 1 minute after it stops blinking.
4. Turn the key to off, wait 10 seconds, then start the car again.
You may have to do this 3 times for it to work correctly."
no...the theft light is not on or blinking or anything. No strange smells either. Any other ideas?

How is the safc setup? My car dies when I start if it is cold out and the low corrections are set low...I just turn it up a lil and it will idle. Just a thought.
Failure is not failure if you learn from it
I actually have the safc settings at zeros across the board. I was just playing with it a little, and now it will run for 5-7 seconds and go lean. I have a quarter tank of gas, i am going to go get some more just to rule that out.

Its got a half a tank now...and still the same problem....Any ideas?

Get a fuel pressure gauge. If your going lean its possible your pump has gone.

HAHA! nice, and after you do that and your hands are nice and numb, beat off for a minute, its called the stranger! wOOt!
Well if you adjusted the SAFC and it changed it and let it run for a bit longer, maybe something is messed up on that end? Ever think about disconnecting it all together? Maybe thats what you need to do? Cause if you changed the SAFC setting and it affected the idle time then it would seem logical to me that maybe thats your problem. Did the car do anything days before it wouldn't stay running? You never answered that question. Did you upgrade your fuel pump at any time?

Well I narrowed it down to the apex fuel controller. I reconnected the whole thing and the same problem was happening. So then I disconnected the fuel controller all together, and it stayed running like it was supposed to. It just runs extremely rich cause of the injectors. My question is has anyone heard of an apexi safc going bad internally? Because I followed the directions on how to hook it up to the T. So the only thing I can figure is the fuel controller is bad itself. Any ideas?

well call apex-i and let us all know what they say about how good there product is.... I don;t know of anyone that has had to return it...
