A couple weeks ago i went to the dyno. I've been debating weather or not to post the results, but since i'm bored tonight and people keep asking me i decided to make this post. Ever since my car has been turbocharged i've had no luck tuning it. Maybe its the extensive engine mods, maybe its my bad luck, maybe the e Manage just hates me or maybe i haven't put enough effort into it but the car just won't seem to run right with the e Manage running so i have is disabled and am stuck at
6 psi for right now. I only dynoed my car out of pure curiosity as to how much power i was making. Anyway, here is the results.......
On 6 psi - 255.7 whp at 6400rpm and 211.33 lb ft of torque at 5300rpm
Sorry for the crappy pics, no scanner so i had to use the camera. As you can see in the dyno graph i am still building hp at redline, so hopefully i will soon be able to raise the rev limit and shift points to around 7200rpm.
The new plan is to run a 00 PCM (which i just bought) and to use the GMPP supercharger reflash program. Then when the HP tuners software is released i'll use that to do the fine tuning as well as changing the rev limits and shift points. My goal is to make roughly 350whp on 14 psi, wish me luck.
Questions and comments welcome.

looks good, hope all goes well with the reflash
For the boost level those are great numbers on top of a auto tranny. very nice. Question what are you running for fuel currently? FMU and injectors? I think your 350hp goal is easy for you to get.

jeremy for an untuned car that is awesome, i can only imagine how much of beast thats going to be once its tuned.

ummm, something seems way off here... why does hp and tq cross each other TWICE, and neither time at 5200 rpm when it should? Not to be a naysayer but i think something was wrong with the dyno. 255 seems WAY high for only 6 lbs on an auto too. In addition, your trap on the best run in your registry is 102 mph, which is more in line with 210-215 whp than 255... I'd love it to be right but it definitely lookes like something is way f-ed up with the dyno.

Wow good catch. yeah the dyno must have not been set up right. I know my buddies dynojet needs a reboot every now and then cause it would do the same thing and throw out crazy numbers. The 5200 crossover point is a constant. It's just the way HP is calculated off of torque that it will always cross their. Actually I think it's more like 5225 RPM or something like that.

Was that the engine at the dyno alone or the whole car? I noticed it said flywheel torque on the graphs. Either way, awesome job!
Really weird about the cross-over points. I used to use a Mustang dyno a while ago that did that. We never figured out why, but the numbers were VERY close to other dynos with the few cars we ran on it. I wouldn't be too worried about it. Maybe you could get a free new run out of it.

nice numbers bro. best of luck with tuning. i hope to see ya hit 300s soon
I was a retard, and now I'm permanently banned.
hoooot dam i would be very happy to make that!
see ya!
Very nice numbers at 6psi. Just be patient about the other stuff as always. It'll get there.
As to the crossing point not at 5252 rpm, please note the different scaling for hp and tq. That's all it takes.
Have you seen the turbo wagon?

Scarab and Jeremiah,
nothing is wrong with the dyno, take a closer look at the graph and you'll realize you made a mistake. The hp and torque scales are different so thay can plot both lines on the same graph in a smaller space. If the hp number are wrong then they must only be higher in reality, i think my trans might finally be starting to slip a little after 5 years of abuse.

The whole car was on the dyno, the power is measured at the wheels dispite it saying "torque flywheel". That is just what the chart in the computer program he uses says for some reason. I've probably seen 50 cars use this dyno and all the results were accurate.

Too bad the emanage isnt working out man. But those are awesome numbers for only 6psi bro. Keep up the good work. You plan on going with something different for tuning to see what happens?

hstylez, read my original post, under the pics. That should answer your question.
dragracemyz24, nope, i can't seem to get a hold of him at all.
QBE, it was on a Dynapack 3000 chassis dynamometer. I'm currious to know why you think "hub dyno" is so dumb??????????? Please enlighten us.
Thanks everyone for the props.

Nice numbers Jeremy. Are you willing to pass along any info on how you plan to use the '00 PCM? Splicing in the BCM as well? Very interested.
Again, nice stats!

ah, yes, my bad... couldn't really read the scale that well, but now that I've squinted at it further I see what your saying. Nice numbers, definitely!

I get it too. I am excited to think of what kind of number this car will put out with 15-25lbs of boost and a perfect tune.
As I said before, great numbers!
